A morning with ducks

Ducks are hard to photograph because they are in near-constant motion. (Our ducks are anyway. Is that just our ducks?) This is our flock of black Indian runner ducks enjoying a little time in the front yard. The ducklings just hatched a couple of days ago, but we like to get them out in the sunshine and on the grass as soon as possible. Some of our adult hens were pretty interested in the babies in the playpen, so it will be interesting to see how closer introductions go in the next few days. In the meantime, it was exciting to see our adult flock searching for bugs on the fig trees just as they were bred to do.
